Problema

A Universidade parece andar um pouco distraída sobre o que está a acontecer no seu interior e à sua volta. O imediatismo da pesquisa, da procura de financiamentos e o excesso de burocracia tendem a atrofiar a dinâmica e o entusiamo da instituição universitária como um todo vivo, orgânico e inteligente que se pensa, sente, organiza, transforma ou mesmo transmuta, constantemente.

Pensar, sentir, organizar e transformar a ação e a vida da Universidade deverá ser o grande desafio e a grande preocupação no presente e no futuro, sem esquecer que todos deverão procurar ser os melhores, excelentes e, se possível, fora de série  nas suas áreas científicas, pedagógicas, artísticas e tecnológicas.

A sociedade precisa de uma universidade dinâmica, esclarecida e atuante presencialmente e à distância, uma verdadeira alma mater da educação para cidadania, da pesquisa, da inovação e do progresso científico, tecnológico e cultural.

Questões

  1. Como é a Universidade de hoje e como será a do próximo decénio em função do foco na formação, inovação e pesquisa e qual a importância de marcadores como: as mentes, os afetos, a autonomia, as tecnologias, os métodos, a organização, os equipamentos, os campi, os contextos, os edifícios, os financiamentos, os comportamentos, a empregabilidade, a democraticidade e a internacionalização?

  2. Qual  a configuração, a força, a intensidade e a determinância de cada um desses marcadores na dinâmica da sua estrutura interna e externa?

  3. Será que é distinta a percepção dos dirigentes, dos professores seniores e dos professores juniores?

  4. Será que essas percepções são distintas em relação às diferentes áreas do conhecimento?

  5. Haverá diferenças significativas entre Professores, investigadores, bolseiros e alunos?

  6. Haverá diferenças em relação ao género, à idade, aos anos de serviço ou de ligação à instituição universitária?

  7. Haverá diferenças de percepção significativas a nível nacional e internacional?

Objetivos

Tendo em conta a determinância e a intensidade dos marcadores identificados em função de uma Universidade mais voltada para a formação, inovação ou pesquisa propor-nos-emos atingir os seguintes objetivos:

  1. Compreender a Universidade de hoje

  2. Perspectivar a Universidade do próximo decénio

  3. Comparar as percepções da Universidade de hoje e do próximo decénio num contexto nacional ou internacional

  4. Elaborar diferentes cenários de Universidade em função dos resultados da fase de diagnóstico

  5. Organizar grupos de reflexão sobre os diferentes cenários

  6. Agir em conformidade com base nas conclusões da pesquisa discutidas e aprofundadas em grupos focais, fora de reflexão e debate, de cursos de formação e troca de experiências em diferentes contextos ao nível nacional e internacional (presenciais e online)

  7. Publicar os resultados mais relevantes em revistas, livros e outros meios de divulgação

Hipóteses

H1 - A Universidade de hoje e do próximo decénio dependerá da força e intensidade dos marcadores identificados

H2 - Espera-se encontrar diferenças significativas entre a Universidade de hoje e do próximo decénio em função da força e intensidade desses marcadores.

H3 - Existem diferenças de género nas percepções sobre a Universidade de hoje e do próximo decénio entre os professores, investigadores, bolseiros e estudantes

H4 - As percepções dos professores que já exerceram funções dirigentes administrativas, científicas e pedagógicas apresentam diferenças significativas

H5 - Existem diferenças significativas entre Universidades ao nível nacional e internacional.

H6 - É possível agir no sentido de esbater as diferenças identificadas e otimizar as performances.

H7 - É possível, com base nos resultados, construir cenários sobre como irá ser a Universidade nos próximos 20 anos.

Problem
The University seems to be a little distracted about what is happening inside and around it. The immediacy of research, the search for financing, and excessive bureaucracy tend to atrophy the dynamics and enthusiasm of the university institution as a living, organic, and intelligent whole that is constantly thought, felt, organized, transformed, or even transmuted.
Thinking, feeling, organizing and transforming the action and life of the University should be the great challenge and the great concern in the present and the future, not forgetting that everyone should strive to be the best, excellent and, if possible, outstanding in their Scientific, pedagogical, artistic and technological areas.

Questions
How is the University of today and what will be the next decade due to the focus on training, innovation and research and the importance of markers: minds, affections, autonomy, technologies, methods, organization, equipment, Campuses, contexts, buildings, financing, behavior, employability, democracy and internationalization?
What is the configuration, strength, intensity, and determinacy of each of these markers in the dynamics of its internal and external structure?
Is the perception of leaders, senior teachers and junior teachers different?
Are these perceptions distinct from the different areas of knowledge?
Will there be significant differences between teachers, researchers, fellows and students?
Will there be differences in gender, age, years of service or connection to the university?
Are there significant perceptual differences at national and international levels?

Goals
Taking into account the determinant and intensity of the markers identified in function of a University more focused on training, innovation or research, we will propose to achieve the following objectives:
Understanding Today's University
Prospecting the University for the next decade
Compare the perceptions of the University of today and the next decade in a national or international context
To elaborate different scenarios of University in function of the results of the diagnostic phase
Organize think tanks on different scenarios
Acting on the basis of the research findings discussed and deepened in focus groups, beyond reflection and debate, of training courses and exchange of experiences in different contexts at national and international level (face-to-face and online)
Publish the most relevant results in magazines, books and other means of dissemination
Hypotheses
H1 - The University of today and the next decade will depend on the strength and intensity of the identified markers
H2 - It is expected to find significant differences in the University of today and the next decade due to the strength and intensity of these markers.
H3 - There are gender differences in perceptions about today's University and the next decade among teachers, researchers, fellows and students
H4 - The perceptions of teachers who have already performed administrative, scientific and pedagogical roles have significant differences
H5 - There are significant differences between universities at national and international level.
H6 - You can act to blur the identified differences and optimize performances
