The current speed of worldwide change poses inescapable challenges for the future. The urgent need to think, to plan and to manage the University of the future, the ultimate goal of this project, should mobilize all the actors involved in this process. It is intended to make a profound, and under different perspectives, study about the present situation of the University aiming understand how it will or can be in the future, namely within the next 25 years. The collected data and information through interviews, questionnaires and discussion of focus group scenarios will be submitted to statistical analysis (structural and content models). The markers of training, research and intervention already identified (minds, affects, autonomy, equipment, organization, contexts, financing, behaviors, employability, internationalization, democraticity and sustainability) will potentiate clusters which activate a change that different University communities is consider to be more appropriate.
